Upgrading WordPress on HostGator

In WordPress, disable all plugins. Using net2ftp, move the following files to /public_html/temp/:

• wp-config.php file
• wp-content folder
• wp-images folder
• .htaccess file

Delete the rest of the files in the blog directory. Click Install in the drop-down box. Click the link and choose WordPress. Change the install directory to /public_html/. Click Install. In net2ftp, rename the blog directory to wp and then rename the wordpress directory to blog.. Delete wp-content and wp-images in /blog and navigate to the parent directory. Go to /temp and select all files and move them to /blog. Goto blog.xinki.org.uk/wp-admin/upgrade.php and follow the instructions.
